Who can Enter

The Bioplastics Awards are open to anyone involved in development, production, processing or use of bioplastics – that means any plastics derived from a biological source.

Entries can include the use of compostable, biodegradable or durable bioplastics. The awards are open to fully or partly bio-derived plastics. We do not impose a minimum bio-derived content. However, preference may be given by the judges to entries with a high level of bio-derived content.

All entries should relate to developments, products or activities that have taken place during 2008 or 2009.

The deadline for Bioplastics Awards entries is Friday 18th September 2009.

A shortlist of finalists will be selected by the European Plastics News organising team and published in November 2009. Winners will be selected from this shortlist by a panel of judges assembled by European Plastics News. The judges decision will be final and binding.
